My only fear is that someone actually suffering from mental illness who could benefit from therapy or medication will be scared away from it because of this asshole's religious guilt tripping.

Well, this is annoying.

There is very much a big difference between blaming your actions on something else, and having your actions being the result of a disease. This guy basically just took every kind of mental illness/disease and called it non-existant and that they're just something to blame our faults on.

And alcoholism is a disease. It's compulsive and uncontrolled. You can't just get rid of it without being treated.
