The North Carolina Senate just passed an anti-gay marriage/civil union/domestic partnership amendment yesterday. To the best of my knowledge, they were the only state in the south that didn't already have one.

I just saw on the news that a vote on a ban would happen May of 2012, how could we have do it already? Mom and I are gonna vote "FUCK NO".

The Senate approved it (and by a pretty significant margin, looks like), but yeah, it'll be up for the public vote next year.
